About our foodbank
An introduction to our project.
Our food bank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. We give more than food, we partner with referral agencies who support and assist clients, when they have identified as requiring a food bank voucher.
When clients visit a food bank centre, our volunteers offer a safe space to listen, and try to understand whether they would like further information that may support them to tackle the root cause. In doing so, we have signposting information, placed within our website on the News Item and our new to launch downloadable app (guidelines will be printed alongside this post, once it has been updated).
