After the second review meeting of the partnership with Citizens Advice, we learned that our funding from the Trussell Trust has been extended, guaranteeing the provision of support into a third year. This is great news for us, and more importantly for our clients!
Since the project began in September 2022, we have been able to help 184 people to access help and advice from Citizens Advice by speaking to an advisor in one of our centres. This has resulted in an expected financial gain of £331,210. That’s a lot of money that people now have access to, either through additional benefits or support that they can apply for.
In addition to the income gains, we have seen £237,136.25 debts managed, and £96,427.55 of debt written off. These are significant, life changing figures for our clients, and clearly demonstrate the value of having this advice available for clients in our centres, where it is easy to access.
We hope that the partnership continue to go from strength to strength.
